I had a couple of workshops this weekend & met some wonderful ladies.
At each of my workshops I do a door prize draw & this weekend I decided to pop the prize into a matchbox.

The matchboxes I created were a little deeper than the one pictured & I've got the measurements rolling around in my head, so I thought I'd share a little tutorial with you...batteries are flat on the camera, so see if you can follow my written instructions - they're pretty simple ;o)
Box: card stock 5 1/2" x 4 1/2", scored on all sides at 1 1/4"
Outer cover: DSP 8 3/4" x 3", scored at 2 1/16", 3 3/8", 5 7/16", 6 3/4"
Acetate: 2 1/2" x 1 3/4"
Box:
Snip score lines as shown. I like to snip out a little wedge to ensure smooth edges along the top.
Take a punch & notch out a semi circle to create an opening (for ease of opening the drawer)- this is completely optional because you can slide the drawer out by pushing from the rear ;o) I have used the slit punch.
Fold along score lines & assemble with sticky strip.
Take your piece of DSP & wrap it around the box to figure out which is your top panel.
Punch a shape in the centre of your top panel - I have used the Curly Label Punch
Adhere your acetate piece on the inside of your DSP to create a window.
Wrap your DSP around your box & secure with sticky strip (to itself - not the box)
Decorate as desired - I have used Great Friends :o).
Now that I'm looking at the instructions they don't sound so easy LOL, but it really is simple - so simple in fact that I was having notions of creating an advent calendar with them - I'll see what I can do to simplify it for you :o)
Kelly, your instructions are perfectly easy to follow. I've made one and it's up on my blog. I'm thinking of making some more using Ski Slope Paper and the star.

The real problem on the Board of Commisioners is Becky Heron. For too many years she has voted against progress in Durham. She is the one who put the planning director and the county attorney up to their possibly illegal shenanigans. If we lose this lawsuit I hope she is recalled
